The Year Without Summer (Working Title)
1816: It’s the year that goes down in history as the year without summer, and Mary Shelley is to create Frankenstein, a genius forcing nature to bend to his will, ending up in destruction with his monster assembled from corpses‘ parts. The Year Without Summer (working title) is an apocalyptic vision of artificial life: In an attempt to conquer nature, the body becomes the testing ground, subjected to ever more radical climatic conditions.
The Year Without Summer (working title) is about improving nature to the point of perversion, and about playing off the promise of eternal life against the certainty of death.
